評:說的是員工的技巧，其實也可以用在那些初創企業的創業者身上，因為在市場上，相對很多大型企業來說，就是獅子和兔子的關係，如何與他們合作相處或者說不被競爭者吃掉也是一門很深學問。

這隻兔子有次不小心告訴了他的一個兔子朋友，這消息逐漸在森林中傳播；獅子知道後非常生氣，他告訴兔子：“如果這個星期沒有食物進洞，我就吃你。”於是兔子繼續在洞口寫文章。

一隻小鹿走過來，“兔子，你在幹什麼啊？”“寫文章！”“什麼題目？”“《淺談兔子是怎樣吃掉狼》”！ “哈哈，這個事情全森林都知道啊，你別胡弄我了，我是不會進洞的”，兔子曰：“我馬上要退休了，獅子說要找個人頂替我，難道你不想這篇文章的兔子變成小鹿麼？”小鹿想了想，終於忍不住誘惑，跟隨兔子走進洞裡。過了一會，兔子獨自走出山洞，繼續寫文章。一隻小馬走過來，同樣是事情發生了。最後，在山洞裡，一隻獅子在一堆白骨之間，滿意的剔著牙讀著兔子交給它的文章，題目是：《如何發展下線動物為老闆提供食物》。

評：這裡其實談的是一個欺騙手段，並沒有講發展動物下線去提供食物，但是這個題目應該是很有啟發的，可以改成《如何發展合作夥伴為企業提供食物》。沒有合作夥伴企業是做不大的，現在是競爭協作時代，每個企業不可能把所有的事情做完，必須依靠合作夥伴才能找到企業充足的食物

隨著時間的推移，獅子越長越大，兔子的食物已遠遠不能填飽肚子。一日，他告訴兔子：“我的食物量要加倍，例如：原來4天一隻小鹿，現在要2天一隻，如果一周之內改變不了局面我就吃你。於是，兔子離開洞口，跑進森林深處，他見到一隻狼：“你相信兔子能輕鬆吃掉狼嗎？ ”狼哈哈大笑，表示不信，於是兔子把狼領進山洞。過了一會，兔子獨自走出山洞，繼續進入森林深處，這回他碰到一隻野豬----“你相信兔子能輕鬆吃掉野豬嗎？ ”野豬不信，於是同樣的事情發生了。原來森林深處的動物並不知道兔子和獅子的故事！最後，在山洞裡，一隻獅子在一堆白骨之間，滿意的剔著牙讀著兔子交給它的文章，題目是：《如何實現由坐商到行商的轉型為老闆提供更多的食物》。

這裡的啟示是尋找自己的客戶資源在哪裡

時間飛快，轉眼之間，兔子在森林裡的名氣越來越大，因為大家都知道它有一個很歷害的老闆。這隻小兔開始橫行霸道，欺上欺下，沒有動物敢惹。它時時想起和烏龜賽跑的羞辱，它找到烏龜說：“三天之內，見我老闆！”揚長而去。烏龜難過的哭了，這時卻碰到了一位獵人，烏龜把這事告訴了他。獵人哈哈大笑，於是森林裡發生了一件重大事情，獵人披著獅子皮和烏龜一起在吃兔子火鍋，地下丟了半張紙片歪歪扭扭的寫著：山外青山樓外樓，強中還有強中手啊！ ！ ！

如果做企業猖狂到自己都不知道自己是誰的時候，離死亡也就不遠了，我們的企業還是“兔子”不是“獅子”的時候，不管你的靠山再強大，你都不能把自己太當回事情了，居安思危。

在很長一段時間里森林裡恢復了往日的寧靜，兔子吃狼的故事似乎快要被大家忘記了。不過一隻年輕的老虎在聽說了這個故事後，被激發了靈感，於是他抓住了一隻羚羊，對羚羊說，如果你可以像以前的兔子那樣為我帶來食物那我就不吃你。於是，羚羊無奈的答應了老虎，而老虎也悠然自得的進了山洞。可是三天過去了，也沒有見羚羊領一隻動物進洞。他實在憋不住了，想出來看看情況。羚羊早已不在了，他異常憤怒。正在他暴跳如雷的時候突然發現了羚羊寫的一篇文章題目是：《想要做好老闆先要懂得怎樣留住員工》!

企業再好，待遇在高，也不能忽視員工，也要善待員工，再偉大的理想、再好的項目，你一個人不可能做大的，想做大事的老闆和只想賺錢的老闆，那是不同的；想做大事的員工和只想求生活的員工也是不同的；如何吃人而不被別人吃，如何幫人吃人而不被別人吃-。社會就是這麼現實！

When leaders fight, third party wins!

If you are below 18, this entry may not be suitable for you. It may be too violent.
Very often, we saw leaders engaged in quarrel or fight over something ... position, material, etc. But the question is do they always win, or it is someone else?
I saw 4 dogs this morning, with two large ones engaged  in a desperate fight. I thought one of them is going to be bitten to death.

The brown one is obviously stronger and taller. He locked his jaws in the black one, his front legs held onto the neck... The observer on the left seem to enjoy the show!

... they seem to fight to the death!

... with blood all over the face! The black bitch in the center seems to approve their quarrel, after all, it was all because of her!

At the mean time, the smaller and weaker brown dog seems to lose orientation or was he an opportunist?

Obviously! While the leaders were busy fighting over the bitch, the opportunist jump into action!

... yeah, he seems to tell us that there was no need to fight! Just sit back and watch! Grasp the opportunity when it arises! The Chinese proverb describes this aptly:  鹬蚌相持，渔人得利
As human, is there any lesson we could learn here?

Disgusting and disgusting

Human can be so inhumane that I was totally shocked and almost frozen for a minute for what I saw this morning.

I was following behind this particular van and was approaching a traffic light. There was quite a distance between the van and the previous car. As the van approached the traffic light, it just turned red. And at the same time, a black dog was (walking) crossing the road at the traffic light, expecting the van to stop as the light was red! However, here is the disgusting part: the van driver honked at the dog and proceed to jump the traffic light and run over the dog! The left front and back wheels of the van run over the poor dog and he died instantly! I saw the expression of the dog and the sight was too disgusting to describe.

The van wasn’t speeding and the dog didn’t rush out of nowhere. Why can’t the van stop. What would you do?

Philosophy of Charles Schulz

Sleeping Guard, please wake up!!

I went to a major "attraction" in town today and I was pretty upset with what the vandal had done! It was once the pride of Miri and now, due to years of use, many exhibits are non functional. It also seems to be like an orphan being neglected.
I am not sure whether the place is being guarded like many other parks. But surely, I will not go near there at night! There is however, a tire sleeping guard, probably due to excessive night hours. But the fact remains ...
... vandal smashed up lighting outside the building, metal thieves carted away stainless steel covers, etc. It is so sad!
In this country, every student has to study moral from year 1 all the way to university. Perhaps, it wasn't the failure of the educational system but the bottom 1-2% of the students who are naturally naughty and perhaps hungry ...
I will blog about it in the near future ... The beauty and the ugly...

Please... eat the food

For some reason, a baby bird dropped from the sky and landed at the main entrance to the office. Could it be possible that it had been kicked out of the nest? Or structural fault of the nest? Or due to an unsafe act by the mother bird? Or due to human cruelty which knock out the nest? Whatever was the reason, we will never knew...

... but two of my compassionate colleagues immediately try to save the baby. It was dehydrated and almost motionless. But they took the trouble to buy baby food for the bird.

They tried very hard to save it. But alas... it couldn't make it. Six hours later, it gave up struggling. So sad .... fortunately I took a few pictures in remembrance of their kindness.... May the baby bird rest in peace. We also knew that they have tried their best! They even took the trouble to bring the bird to a vet but unfortunately, the vet does not know how to save a bird!

Utterly irresponsible & reckless people

I was in Public Bank (next to KFC) yesterday using the ATM. While looking out of the glass window, I saw the following:
The cover to the manhole which is located in the middle of the road had been recklessly removed. The hole must be 1.5'x1' and it is extremely dangerous to motorbike. If a motorbike wheel ever go in, the rider would be serious hurt or killed.
Why should people remove such a cover? They are now almost worthless for the metal. I felt very upset whenever I saw irresponsible citizen doing such a thing.
I suppose this is a failure of the 11 years of moral studies which is compulsory for every student.

NAILS IN THE FENCE

There once was a little boy who had a bad temper. His Father gave him a bag of nails and told him that every time he lost his temper, he must hammer a nail into the back of the fence.
The first day the boy had driven 37 nails into the fence. Over the next few weeks, as he learned to control his anger, the number of nails hammered daily gradually dwindled down. He discovered it was easier to hold his temper than to drive those nails into the fence. Finally the day came when the boy didn't lose his temper at all.
He told his father about it and the father suggested that the boy now pull out one nail for each day that he was able to hold his temper.
The days passed and the young boy was finally able to tell his father that all the nails were gone.
The father took his son by the hand and led him to the fence. He said, 'You have done well, my son, but look at the holes in the fence. The fence will never be the same. When you say things in anger, they leave a scar just like this one. You can put a knife in a man and draw it out. But It won't matter how many times you say I'm sorry, the wound will still be there. A verbal wound is as bad as a physical one. Remember that friends are very rare jewels, indeed. They make you smile and encourage you to succeed. They lend an ear, they share words of praise and they always want to open their hearts to us.'

Practice Courtesy

Here are ten 'not-so-common' courtesies you should work on every day, and teach your children. After all, if they don't learn common courtesy from you, where are they going to learn it?

1. Go out of your way to speak to people. "Pleasant words are… healing" (Proverbs 16:24 NIV).
2. Try to remember their names - it shows you value them.
3. Smile; it increases your 'face value'.
4. Be friendly and helpful. If you do, people will return it (Proverbs 18:24).
5. Show genuine interest. You can find something good in almost anybody, if you try (Philippians 4:8).
6. Be generous with your praise and cautious with your criticism.
7. Be slow to judge. There are three sides to every story - your side, their side, and the right side.
8. Instead of 'using' others, serve them: "Through love serve one another" (Galatians 5:13 NKJV).
9. Start trusting people - it builds lasting relationships.
10. Be humble. Oswald Chambers said, "When a saint becomes conscious of being a saint, something has gone wrong."

Courtesy does two things:

1. It speaks well of your parents. Jesus said, "Live so that [people] will… praise your Father" (Matthew 5:16 NCV).
2. It determines your level of blessing. "Be courteous … that you may inherit a blessing" (1 Peter 3:8-9).

Integrity

What is integrity and why is it so important?

Integrity is about being honest with others and adhering to high moral standards.

It is also about doing what you say you will do. When you act with integrity, your customers, colleagues and staff will place their trust in you.

They know that you mean what you say and that you will not let them down. They know that you will give them the best quality for their money/service and they know that you will not cheat them.

In a world where so many people are unethical and dishonest, build your reputation on integrity and you will have an endless supply of customers, suppliers, investors and business partners.

BE PATIENT

This is a true story which happened in the States. A man came out of his home to admire his new truck. To his puzzlement, his three-year-old son was happily hammering dents into the shiny paint of the truck. The man ran to his son, knocked him away, hammered the little boy's hands into pulp as punishment. When the father calmed down, he rushed his son to the hospital.

Although the doctor tried desperately to save the crushed bones, he finally had to amputate the fingers from both the boy's hands. When the boy woke up from the surgery & saw his bandaged stubs, he innocently said, "Daddy, I'm sorry about your truck." Then he asked, "but when are my fingers going to grow back?" The father went home & committed suicide.

Think about this story the next time someone steps on your feet or u wish to take revenge. Think first before u lose your patience with someone u love. Trucks can be repaired.. Broken bones & hurt feelings often can't. Too often we fail to recognize the difference between the person and the performance. We forget that forgiveness is greater than revenge.

People make mistakes. We are allowed to make mistakes. But the actions we take while in a rage will haunt us forever.

Maid Agents From Hell

I read the letter from Christy Maid Agents From Hell and I can even sense the anger in her when she wrote it. On the other hand, I am just wondering why is it that we are all so dependent on those maids. Without them, it looks like we cannot survive. She has three children, age 1, 3 and 5. On the other hand, I have six children and never have a maid. Why do I need them when all they can do is to help me to do some housework, look after the kids (may be) and provide me with stress and headache?

I taught my children to be independent... so they washed their own plate after meal, help to wash clothing and dry them;
When they are small, I send them to baby sitter and bring them home in the evening;
I help to cook meals and my wife helps out with other things;
It is true that things could be messy at times but who cares.... I don't have stress created by them. I have no worry about maid running away; or don't know whether they fed the kids with urine or not; or whether they spit their saliva into the food they cook!
I pity all those who have gone dependent on the maid... come on, set yourself free!
Oh... those wives who complained that their husbands don't help at home, please start the change now... get your boys to help in the house work. This will train them to be a helpful helper for their wives in future.

You Reap What You Sow

A little long but worth reading...

A successful businessman was growing old and knew it was time to choose a successor to take over the business.

Instead of choosing one of his Directors or his children, he decided to do something different. He called all the young executives in his company together. He said, 'It is time for me to step down and choose the next CEO. I have decided to choose one of you. 'The young executives were shocked, but the boss continued. 'I am going to give each one of you a SEED today - one very special SEED. I want you to plant the seed, water it, and come back here one year from today with what you have grown from the seed I have given you. I will then judge the plants that you bring, and the one I choose will be the next CEO.'

One man, named Jim, was there that day and he, like the others, received a seed. He went home and excitedly, told his wife the story. She helped him get a pot, soil and compost and he planted the seed. Everyday, he would water it and watch to see if it had grown. After about three weeks, some of the other executives began to talk about their seeds and the plants that were beginning to grow.

Jim kept checking his seed, but nothing ever grew.

Three weeks, four weeks, five weeks went by, still nothing.

By now, others were talking about their plants, but Jim didn't have a plant and he felt like a failure.

Six months went by -- still nothing in Jim's pot. He just knew he had killed his seed. Everyone else had trees and tall plants, but he had nothing. Jim didn't say anything to his colleagues, however. He just kept watering and fertilizing the soil - He so wanted the seed to grow.

A year finally went by and all the young executives of the company brought their plants to the CEO for inspection.

Jim told his wife that he wasn't going to take an empty pot. But she asked him to be honest about what happened. Jim felt sick to his stomach, it was going to be the most embarrassing moment of his life, but he knew his wife was right. He took his empty pot to the board room. When Jim arrived, he was amazed at the variety of plants grown by the other executives. They were beautiful -- in all shapes and sizes. Jim put his empty pot on the floor and many of his colleagues laughed, a few felt sorry for him!

When the CEO arrived, he surveyed the room and greeted his young executives.

Jim just tried to hide in the back. 'My, what great plants, trees, and flowers you have grown,' said the CEO. 'Today one of you will be appointed the next CEO!'

All of a sudden, the CEO spotted Jim at the back of the room with his empty pot. He ordered the Financial Director to bring him to the front. Jim was terrified. He thought, 'The CEO knows I'm a failure! Maybe he will have me fired!'

When Jim got to the front, the CEO asked him what had happened to his seed - Jim told him the story.

The CEO asked everyone to sit down except Jim. He looked at Jim, and then announced to the young executives, 'Behold your next Chief Executive Officer!

His name is Jim!' Jim couldn't believe it. Jim couldn't even grow his seed.

'How could he be the new CEO?' the others said.

Then the CEO said, 'One year ago today, I gave everyone in this room a seed. I told you to take the seed, plant it, water it, and bring it back to me today. But I gave you all boiled seeds; they were dead - it was not possible for them to grow.

All of you, except Jim, have brought me trees and plants and flowers. When you found that the seed would not grow, you substituted another seed for the one I gave you. Jim was the only one with the courage and honesty to bring me a pot with my seed in it. Therefore, he is the one who will be the new Chief Executive Officer!'

Is Dog any match for Porcupine?
Porcupine is supposed to be a shy animal. According to my colleague, porcupine, when frightened or agitated, it is capable to "throw" itself to whoever is "disturbing" it. With that, it quills will get stuck onto the "attacker". My colleague also relate to a case where a hunting dog actually died from the attack.

Dog may die from infection after the attack. If all the quills were not properly removed, the quills will work it way out over time.
This bull terrier actually had 1000's of quills stuck onto her. But it did not die.
The result here ... a painful dog and a naked porcupine!

Moral of the story: Not everyone can mix and have the same wavelength!

15 Year old cannot wait to get pregnant

This is terrible! Those of you who is watching this video should never do this kind of thing before marriage. Not even once! This girl break the heart of her parents, bring disgrace to herself.
