Citrus Restaurant

After much pestering by the kids, we went to Citrus to have a meal last night.
Citrus is quite new. Food served is quite nice and preparation is quite fast.
The children had some desert after the meal... oh, special guest is Chan Yee...
... ice cream chocolate mountain (Honey mudslide) after being attacked by the big and small kids!
Banana fritter & ice cream (Banilla).
... more photos of food will be posted later. Watch this space!

No offence but all your pics look like they are taken on point & shoot cam. D3? Man, what a waste..just my 2 cents.

daddy spell wrong ad. should be Vanilla and not Banilla! hahaha. unless there's really such a word as Banilla??? daddy need more practice and be more observant in looking out for angles which can make the object stand out. but i understand that there is time constraint as well esp when taking food pic with kids around. one second and the food is gone so a quick snap is neccessary!

The photos here were casual shots to deliver certain message. I have a series of nice shots to post.

Janice, they call it Banilla cos they have banana and vanilla... hahaha... cool name.

Anonymous, ya... point and shoot. In fact, the beauty with any camera is the ability to do point and shoot. Also if I am just lazy, I just take it casually! No big deal! Why do we need to take life so seriously? I drive my Ferrari on Miri small road... no waste lah. I enjoyed it besides, it causes many heads to turn!

Fair enough answer! Keep it up..point n shoot i mean..hahaha

Anonymous, when you say that ALL my pic were like taken using point and shoot cam, do you mean ALL the photos on this blog or just this entry?
By the way, PnS cam is capable to take very good photos. But I am not sure what you actually meant when you say that I am like using a PnS. Perhaps you would like elaborate in order for me to learn and understand.

Yes most of your pics in your gallery, which i went through just now. To be honest and im not trying to put anyone down, try and post some pics at photography sites like photomalaysia, photokaki, shutterasia etc and they will comment. if your'e serious about photography, comments from these sites will help a lot. Again only if you take photography seriously. If not happy point and shooting. Yes, point and shoot cam can take good pics but DSLR can be more expressive in terms of composition, depth of field etc when taking the pics. I know your site does not feature there attributes coz you just take pics casually. But it would be nice to see some creativity in composition to boost your very informative and nice blog. Just my 2 cents.

Anonymous, Thanks for your comments. I posted on the sites suggested by you b4. However, I found that I hardly get any comment. I may know why. On the other hand, I also find that the comments posted by others are usually "quite shallow". So, I am considering putting them on sites overseas.
You will notice that I seldom tweak my photos using any software. I cannot effort to spend my time on tweaking as I believe that I have to get it right or almost right on the camera.
Please do post your comment!

Anonymous, there were people who tried to compare me with people like Louis Pang or Gary Fong. They are "mega" photographers who charge a huge amount for their works. I have yet to start charging people for a fees. I admire their creative works but I also have to make time to learn "creativity" which is quite difficult.

Dear Mr. Ting, please keep up your great shooting, don't bother participating in those so-called Malaysian photography websites (photomalaysia etc.), most of the time they will "angkat bola" their own gang members, or show off their equipment only. Anyway photography is not a team sport, it's all about our own individual expression.
