Accident at Jee Foh 4 (outside Yakin)

This afternoon at about 1:00PM, there was a motorcycle-car collision. It happened along the junction of Red Crescent road and Jee Foh 4.
This red Toyota turned into Jee Foh 4 and a motorcycle coming along the main road collided with the car.The pillion rider was ok but the bike rider had a broken leg and arm.
I happen to pass by the place and was concern whether ambulance had been called. So, I also stay there to witness how the medical evacuate him.
The medical team was efficient and surely they know what to do in the most professional manner.
See the damage. For the benefit of 4D friends, the number of the car is 1729.

Bulatan Park, Miri

Bulatan is a popular spot for all health freaks in Miri. I was told that there are already people jogging as early as 4:00AM. Each round is about 0.75KM. For us, we tried to walk after sending the children to school, ie, 6:45AM. In the evening, there are even more people jogging or walking in circle!
The local council maintained the park very well. It is clean and neat. Full mark for them!
Then every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, this group of praise dancers will be there doing "exercise" as according to the music. They start at 6:30AM and end at 7:30AM. I was the only man there! Somehow, men shy away but don't underestimate this ... it is worse than walking!
The serene atmosphere of the park is perfect for walking. When the sunset, another group of people will occupy all the benches to let the hearts talk.
The path is well protected from the strong ray of the sun.
Another perfect place for a family to show the care and love of nature!
There are thousand of these fish...
Of course, we meet familar faces and friends here! Mr KK Lau, my ex colleague.
Mr. Leo, a runner! He opens a makan store in the park. So, do visit him and buy something from him when you feel that your jaws need exercise. He is a friendly person, always smiling!
Mr. Ting SC is a regular. He is also my ex-colleague.
Of course, my other half. Without her, I will be sitting in front of the computer.

He didn't wash his face for 2 months

Being white has disadvantages. One of them is obviously the showing of all "uncleanliness". So here he is...no washing after a meal means that the dirt stays on...
... hahaha... he has been eating mango. He loves mangoes. We gave him some whenever we have a mango meal. He also loves the skin. So, he will help us to clean everything up of a mango other than the seed.

Sushi and Pizza

Stephanie received a bread maker for her birthday. Now, she is busy experimenting with it. So she made dough and baked pizza!
The steps in making the pizza...
Finally done!
Over the weekend, all the girls were in Leeds after their attachment at various places. So, they started making sushi again. The good thing was that everyone sponsor something and they made the sushi together and enjoy together. All my capable girls are over in Leeds and now, I only have boys at home who dislike to help out in the kitchen.

Ah Jon Has a Job Now

Ah Jon just finished his exam last Thursday and he is filled with passion "to do a lot of things" but he has no money! This means that he has to work to make extra money.
He saw an advertisement for a part time IT technician in the newspaper. He quickly called them up and went for interview on Saturday. When asked on his expected salary, he asked for only RM600 per month. I asked him how is he proposing to pay for his petrol, etc. Only then he realised that he is asking for far too little. Today he got a call and asked him to go and report for work. He was offered an extra RM300 to cover for his petrol.
So, if one is not fussy, it seems that it is not too difficult to find a job in Miri.

Talking about making money, our little boy Joshua is also finding ways to make extra money from his classmate! So during his birthday a few days ago, he lamented that he was probably the only boy in this world who had to buy himself birthday present! He was interested to buy a science book costing RM22 and he was short of 20 cents. So, I gave him the 20 cents he needed, brought him to the "book exhibition" only to find that the place was now closed! He was obviously upset about it and he quietly keep his money back in the box.
Joshua had been "feeding his money into the tiger's mouth" as Timmy put it. (Timmy felt that he wasted money to buy junk things/food in school). But he still has RM22 left considering that we didn't give him any pocket money at all!
