I hope to post landscape photos of Miri every now and then. Today, I feature this tower opposite Pustaka Miri which has been there for a couple of years. Anyone knows the name of this tower? Update: Thanks to my blogger friend who informed me that it is called 同心塔. I translated this to "Unity Tower". Date: 19/06/2009 Nikon D3 Lens: 24-70mm F/2.8G Focal Length:62mm 1/60 sec-F/2.8 Exposure compensation:-0.7 ISO 2000
Please refer to the Orang Ulu- as I have heard from some informed sources (I might have been misinformed too) that this was their project (in the design??) ...so each feature has a meaning too...
Hello, welcome to my blog. I mostly write about life and happening in my home town, my church and myself. I normally post photos straight from my camera - a Nikon D3. You may click on any photo to show a larger ones. I am from Miri, Sarawak, Island of Borneo and part of Malaysia. By the way, I seldom photoshop my photos as I am too busy to learn photoshop. I post new blog almost everyday. Please do tell me what you like to read or leave a comments on my entries. If you like more information, please do let me know.

CY: I am not surprised. The center part is like hands upholding the top part.
At least the Rotary tower over in front of GK at Pujut is making some advertising revenue for the Rotary club funds.
This one is just wasting electricity and maintenance. On some days, it wasn't even lit!! Nice ornament, but ultimately usless and a waste of money.
