Pasar Malam - Local delicacies

If you are hungry in the evening on Friday or Saturday, just visit the pasar malam (Night market) opposite SESCO in Miri, Malaysia. The varieties of food available there will not disappoint you.

I tried this once ... the filling is a mixture of meat (beef) and cabbage. If you are hungry, down one piece of these.

This is rather delicious... the taste is better than the look... it is of Indian origin called roti telur (bread with egg).

The making of apam Balek... a type of Malay pancake.

Sprinkle with a generous amount of crushed peanut. Could be too sweet. So before you buy, ask for "less sugar".
Before they are ready, there are usually buyers eager to sink their teeth into them!

Any taker?

They will chop it up for you...
