I think Mei Ann Methodist Church must be in Miri for more than 30+ years.

The current congregation has out grown the size of the church. Beside, the building is also quite old. So, it was finally decided that a new building is to be built to replace the current one.

A large crowd came to witness the ground breaking ceremony....

... and we were all treated to a bowl of "Hung Gang Lon", or rice vermilli with egg. What a blessing!
