School reopen

Mad rush! I got up at 5:15AM, cooked breakfast for the family and got out of the house at 6:10AM. First I sent Joshua to his school - primary six this year! Then, I sent Tim to his new school - Riam Secondary instead of Chung Hua because we wanted him to skip transition class.
The distance to Riam is far - about 14KM from home. So, I have been investigating the fastest route to take.
This year, Jos will have afternoon class on every odd days and Tim has afternoon class from Monday to Thursday. We will be full time driver! A solution is needed!
Tim's class has more girls again! Some of them are twice the size of Tim. It is amazing and I just wonder what they feed themselves with or perhaps girls actually reach puberty faster than boys?!

The outside of the school looks so good...

I think this is the highest pair of poles in the country. This is a sign of standing tall and proud!

Riam was a very good school under that Hajjah Serina who turned it around - was a real dump before her. I visted the school once - like a resort! She has moved elsewhere for a few years now - dunno the present situation there.

yes, girls do mature faster than boys definitely.. but in no time, your son will overtake them, not to worry.. hahha...

STP: I think you got Riam mixed up with another school. Riam is a private Chinese middle school. There were not many students until 3-4 years ago when Dr. Fong came over from Chung Hua Middle School who implemented new policies and made this into Chinese/English/BM school. It is now florishing. This year, they have 8 classes of Form 1!

Claire: Thanks for your assurance!

do u think our kids who studied at Riam Middle School could apply local university scholarship?
Answer: Yes because they are also taking SPM. Also, there are people already having JPA scholarship.

I cannot imagine small boy like Tim is going to secondary school! If I do not know him I'd have thought he is a standard 4 student.
Ya...me too! He is too small for his age but I think he will grow by a foot this year!

I see! This is not the SMK Riam...this is the private one run by Dr Fong. Ya, I hear it's doing well.
