Maxis SMS spamming?

My business friend sent me an SMS to confirm certain question I asked. The message was only 8 characters long. Initially, I received the message and I deleted it. Then two hours later, I started to receive the same message a couple of times. To my surprised, the SMS didn't stop coming in. It somehow slowed down a little in the evening. This morning, when I got up, I have received the same message 70+ times.

By today evening, 6:00PM, I have 133 messages! So, I deleted all of them. Tonight, 3 hours later, I received another 70+ messages. What has gone wrong? Anyone has any idea? I am sure that Maxis doesn't need to increase revenue in this manner. Computer fault?

If your phone has sufficient memories, you should not delete them off. Keep as proof to maxis when making complaint. For the sake of your friend because he could be charged for all those 100+ sms. Multiple that by the numbers of sms that he did send and the bill could come as a shock to him. My 2 sen.

Wenn: This is actually not the first time I got this "rubbish".

Kong: My memory went down to zero! My handphone literally jammed up.

fashion.passion: It is a HP iPAQ. It is an old HP running mobile windows. Very complicated HP and I always have to ask Ah Jon to help me out!

I had this too. So irritating leh. Last week I accidently sent a blank message to my junior. Phew....upon checking and to my disappointment, at least 10++ messages were being sent out in just a few minutes and each sent out messages were a few seconds in between. I was wondering how this could happen but to ignore it. Now ok already.

Wai Keong: Hahaha... I couldn't manage that. I will go crazy! So I delete them after reading.

bilv: That is bizarre! Call up maxis on 123 and they may give you advise. My maxis finally stop sending me same message after so many days. In all, I receive about 500 messages! LOL...
