Pre-Lunar (Chinese) New Year Rush

As in previous year, the High Street and old town council car park were turned into some type of carnival! I must compliment the authority (I think it is Miri Municipal Council) for a job well done. The deco this year is better.

An arch is built across the road.

... at the car park opposite, a stage was constructed for performances...

... in front of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce, the god of wealth is again "blown" up.

Many temporary stores are opened... from selling food to deco...

... or some exotic orchid...

... or artificial flowers....

... the place was congested tonight ...

There was small firework display. I wasn't prepared to take photos of the firework. So, most such photos will be in my archive forever!

... mummy favorite place ... The super store definitely knew the psychology of women. Here, mummy was hunting for bargain. She "caught" some very good deals tonight.

Even at 10:00PM, the road was still jammed with cars!
