Prophetic Healing Conference

Ps Hendrik Wieland is a very anointed pastor. There were so many healing tonight. People of Miri has been blessed!

Ps Hendrik called me on Thursday afternoon requesting to see me. I have been wondering how could he possibly knew my name since we never met but I forgot that he is also IT savvy! I think it must be a day before he came over to Miri, I noticed someone google for his own name + Miri. I suspected that it must be Ps Hendrik himself checking out the preparation in Miri. But I quickly dismissed the possibility because someone who is doing work for the aborigin in Indonesia cannot be IT savvy. Oh... how wrong I was.

I once tried this sort of thing a couple of years back. I was amazed that people can literally fall backward and made to lie on the floor. Well, I tried it and there are scientific reasons why you will fall back when your forehead was being touched.

When you are asked to close your eyes and concentrate on a certain thing, you stop receiving any sensory input, especially visual sight. These inputs are necessary for us to have a bearing as to where we are in space. For example, if our eyes tell us that the floor is sloping towards a certain angle, our body will automatically and unconsciously try to make correction so that we remain standing upright. But once those sensory inputs are cut off, any push on your forehead will send you moving towards the direct of the push aka falling backward. No matter how gentle is that push.

Kong, don't try to explain spiritual thing with human or scientific understanding. Otherwise He will not be called the God of creation.

I prayed for 3 people last night. I know what it was. You simply cannot use science to explain the work of the Holy Spirit. Just believe!

People say faith cannot be explained by logic and science but I disagree. While it's true that you cannot prove the existence of god by conventional means, it does not mean it cannot be proven. For me, I look at all the possible answers to our existence and deduct each answer one by one and the only one left is that there is a god. It may not be the best or perfect answer but that is the only answer I can find left standing.

Sometimes, I like to do thing differently from others. For example, my friends were very surprised that I went to other religion’s talk and forum. My typical answer to them was, firstly, if my own faith is so weak, so be it. And secondly, how do you convert people of other faith if you don’t even know about their faith and practice? In fact, my doing so, I gained even more faith in Jesus because I see what I believed to be more relatively more flawed logic in other religions.

Kong, what you say is correct. In a simple language, what you mean is that it is the exhaustion of any possible scientific explanation which leads to the conclusion of a creator God!

Yes, I also read up about other religion. Interesting subject.

I have been checking out Buddhism lately. I have always been interested to find out whether Buddhism is an educational or is it a religious movement. The answer I found is, it depends on which sect you are talking about.

Pure Land sect Buddhism popularized by Japanese monks in the 12th century and common in Asia is definitely religious in nature. It is very different from the original Buddha teaching. Pure Land says Buddha will come and fetch them at the moment of your death. And faith in Buddha is more important than deeds. Sounded familiar? Similar to its grace that saved us rather than our deeds.

But the important difference is, Jesus said he is god but Gautama Buddha himself said he is not a god. Yet Buddhist treated him as a god and has godly power and I personally find that wrong.

Furthermore, Karma says you will be what you are because of your deeds. So even if Buddha is a god, he is not supposed to help you anyway. He can only teach you the path. Lucky for me Jesus said he will die for our sins instead. No price for guessing which I prefer.

Then there is this legend about Brahma asking Buddha to spread his enlightenment teaching to the masses. But the funny thing is, Brahma is Indian god. Since Buddha has to listen to god himself, why should I pick Buddha and treat him as a god?

Then there is this concept of reincarnation or rebirth thing. They believe we are trapped in the 6 realms and the final destination is to escape from these realms and reach nothing-ness where there is nothing. If you ask me, it does not sound like as good a destination as our heaven with our father.

Then there is another school of thought saying that these 6 realms are within us all the time. For example, there is the human realm, the beast, fighting, the hellish etc and these are in constant stage of change and nothing is permanent. So if we feel like fighting with someone, we have more of “fighting realm’ in us. And if we act like a beast, then we have more of ‘beast realm’ in us. But the question is, if these 6 realms are in us on this earth, what happens when we die? End of story? That cannot be it.

But the truly original Buddha teaching is more than acceptable. They are educational in nature and of universal values, the Noble Eightfold Path, the 5 Precepts etc. I would even go as far as saying it's a must for Christian to practice these original educational teaching of Buddha and yet still remain a Christian. And there are Buddhists who are more Christian in living than self proclaimed Christian and vice versa.

The more I understand other religion and practice, the more faith I have in my own chosen Christianity. That is why I love to attend their talk. Ya, I am a contrarian and of course, these are merely my personal opinion.

Jeanny, you have obviously done a lot of studies in this area. The story of Christianity has not changed right from the beginning. On the other hand, you noticed that Buddhism has "many versions". Therefore, if you have only one chance, the choice is quiet obvious.
Indeed that many followers of Buddhism are making many so called Christian a shame.
I read that the original Buddhism is actually "educational" ie, a teaching. It is not a religion per se. So, it has gone through "evolution".
