Weekend - so much happening - 26-photo story
I would let pictures tell the story...

Saturday actually started off with sending the children to school for replacement class. Then we went for the normal Saturday fellowship with James Wong, William Law, Mike & Michelle. Talking on general subjects, eg, CG, reflection, etc. We have our small meals ... kueh Tiew

Foochow chao zhu mian (noodle, fried and cooked) ...

Amber is learning to read at just over 1 year old!?

I went over to our neighbourhood to take some pictures of the beautiful flower by the roadside.

Saturday evening ... i-youth fellowship.

They had a meal to mark the completion of the 40DOP.

Then at about 7:40 pm, we finally experienced the state wide blackout saga...

And we had our meeting... thanks to modern hand phone which double as "touch light". In Kuching, blackout started at 6:30PM. In Miri, power was restored in stages starting at about 8:30PM to 10 something.

Sunday morning ... 40DOP celebration Sunday. It was finally over but a new beginning for many. The Curtin students led in worship...

Brother Alfred came for the second week in a row... he is in wheelchair after an accident.

The youth gave a presentation... very ...

... dramatic oh... but good show! Excellent!

I went to visit the Sunday School celebration. Wow, that was Leh Kiong and Mary the leo!

They had a good time...

She was so cute in that costume. I wouldn't have known that it was Mary if she did not talk.

After service (with testimonies, etc) at 11:00AM, we had our lunch. It cost RM10 per head and the caterer was Lutong Cafe. It was excellent value for money! Thanks to brother James Wong - an excellent example of "good steward for God's money".

Seven dishes...

Then we rushed over to Chung Hua during lunch time for their annual food sales... lelong everywhere! It was really cheap!

Satay... anyone?

He yelled his lung out to attract business...

Timmy got this "prize" for the completion of his 40DOP.

Later in the evening, we went to "Study in UK" and talked to David from Plymouth Uni. And we ended up at a friend's place to eat his "organic" papaya later in the afternoon ...

This was the first fruit of "fig"(wu hua guo) ... I gave him small 4 fig trees (sapling) about a year ago. Now they are bearing fruits. By the way, fig is a "biblical fruit" because it was mentioned in the bible a couple of times. Ok, I split it open and 4 people had a taste. But the fruit was not ripe enough and the taste was not great, ie, plain.

"Organic egg" at RM0.90 a piece! These eggs are different from others and you can recognise them by the extra golden yolk!

This timer is one of the most important gadgets in the house. It controls my oven and rice cooker!

... and keep my yogurt "warm" for a quick incubation. ok, This yogurt was made without the use of any thermometer. This was just to convince myself that the 40degC is not critical. ok, what I really mean is that even if it is below 40degC, it doesn't really matter. But if it is too hot, obviously it is not good!

More of my photos can be view at James Wong's or our church 40DOP blogs.
