Poco-poco
Lately, in West Malaysia, we saw ban in gambling, eg, 4D, etc. Just last week, we saw a proposed ban in poco-poco dance as it “contained elements of Christianity as well as spirit worship". How can Christianity be manifested through a dance? Anyway, I do know about this...
I think poco-poco is great for unity. The dance is so simple that anyone can join in. It is definitely good for the community. My first encounter with poco-poco was during a mission trip. I thought the dance was good as an icebreaker because it is "universal" in nature and anyone can join.

Cross Roads are called Jalan Lintang here? Cross should be salib (which is Christian).I think Cross Road should be Jalan Salib...No way the translation would be in favour of Christianity here.
I think many roads like Mission Roads would also have their names changed in the future...to Datuk..Awang ...xx
or Brooke Road might be changed to jalan Datin..XXX because Brooke is such a colonial name..
We will only have history from 1963 if we are not in favour of global and international education and heritage.
I am so afraid that in the future many of our younger generations do not know what is Stone Age or Ice Age....
i have danced to poco poco for a number of years now.. my office aerobics was using that music.. guess now all have to be kept away in the cupboard! sigh...
Why stop a good exercise just because it is banned? I will give the exercise another name like Square dancing or Cross Training....
By the way one of the best poco poco dancers I have ever seen is Tan Sri Leo Moggie!!
