Yesterday, there was a day of special offer from Big Apple Donuts.
They slashed the price by 52% and this means that each donuts cost just over RM1. This opportunity can't be missed. So, my soldiers dragged me to Bintang Megamall during lunch time to ensure that they got something!
Upon reaching there, we saw this giant queue! And we met Ah Jon's friend ...
Lawrence from Lutong.
I was browsing through the food eaten by Angels... all 37 types. While waiting, I went to see how they make the donuts.
... they pop a hole and "pump" in the cream...
This is how the line was made.
See how easy it is to make those wavy lines... they "draw lines" and then use a tooth pick to "drag" along the soft choc and "lines".
To coat the donuts with choc, they actually dip the donuts in the pool of molten "cream".
After 35 minutes of waiting, we got our goodies... 12 of them. This means that we can all eat 2 each with two to spare!
Jos can't wait. He had to eat or he will nag be until I gave up. Why? Because after they got the goodies, I dragged them along to see the performances I blogged earlier on. They actually also enjoy the show but their objective was to eat the donuts!

nice doughnuts..love it..
Call me next time...I will just beg for the one you have to spare and .....thanks in advance...
wow you sons really can find the best bargains. I must ask them to be my "how to save for golden age" consultants.
I think don't have such in KL... didn't see the donuts at home yesterday...:p
Vincent: I suppose they need a wider audience to enjoy their donuts?!
Claire: This offer is for East Malaysia only and only for a day. It looks like a food distribution center in a refugee camp!
Tigeriban: No worry. Surely got next time. If I come across such an offer again, I will blog about it before the event.
wenn: yes, they are nice but a little sweet and oily.
CY: Oh, I will. But then you won't blame me if you put on more weight, will you?
Hahaha... my sons will help u to spend the $$$!
Cynthia: Only in East Malaysia. Lucky us.
I heard krispy kreme is nicer as it isn't all so sweet like big apple. going to give it try. krispy kreme coming to sunway pyramid :).
hmm...i tried Krsipy kreme in the UK before but i find it very very sweet. Not really my liking. I like Big Apple better because it is less sweet and more varieties. PIty there isn't any big apple here in UK :(
Definitely won't be able to find the durian doughnuts here.... :'(
I like Big Apple donuts!!!! Sooooo much better than krispy kreme...krispy kreme was far way too sweet for me but big apple is just nice! =p
mousie: I will bring durian over next time!
Steph, Janice: Looks like Krispy is indeed too sweet.
Ladyviral: You go and try both and let us know which one u like better.
Don't like the donuts!!! Would rather have the RM1.00 for 10 from one kampong stall here, small but the texture is different - nicer and taste better, richer! Toppings - can do our own lah! Be creative! LOL!!!
wow.. nice donuts,, can i get it?
hehehe..
thanks for coming to my blog..
