Pudu Jail from a different angle

While in KL last week, we stayed in Times Square Hotel. Looking out of the hotel room, I was surprised to see the view below...
It is the old infamous Pudu Jail. This jail is no longer in use and I am not sure whether it is opened to the public. I know that it has an execution chamber where death roll prisoners were hung!
I am also surprised with the shape of the jail.

Will, it is still in use but no longer for hard core prisoners. They had stopped using it a while back and made it open for public viewing and I have previously visited Pudu Jail including the excution gallows where Botak Chin was hanged. However, due to over-crowding in the other jails i.e. Sg Buloh and Kajang, they had to re-open the prison and close it for the public.

Nil: You know Botak Chin? He was the modern day Robin Hood. He was very much wanted by the police and was caught in SEA Park (Section 21)or Paramount Garden. I was staying near there at that time! Year 1974/5. His spirit is probably still there.
But I saw no life in the building while I stayed in the hotel.
