Mum and Dad will Provide

I almost fainted when I read this article which my friend sent to me.
Full story can be found by clicking here. After checking, I found something else. She seems to be a victim of the newspaper. The lesson to learn here is about the danger of giving interview to newspaper. It shows how they can misrepresent you to their benefit. Read the other side of the story by clicking here.

I guess the journalist had to sex up the story because it wasn't shocking enough.

I kind of feel sorry for journalists as I think they're almost bullied into writing things that aren't true. Some editors and newspapers in general need to take a long hard look at themselves.

hi William.. frankly i havent read this yet..but will read after i posted this..
about my son, he is still contemplating either inti or sedaya for his Electronic engineering.. any suggestions where he can take this course without too high expenses? He has 7As and it is quite competitive to get a scholarship...

Curtin Miri is cheaper in fees Foundation: RM12K+ Degree RM22K for 4 yrs
Inti is expensive in fees foundation: RM16K+ Degree is RM25K+ other fees
TAR college is perhaps the cheapest. Then move to UNITAR.
All my brother children study in TAR.
Nott: RM34K+ for degree

I recommend TAR college. Good and employment after graduation is good. Can apply to all kind of scholarship.

yes..i agree with u.. UTAR is good but he is not in favour of that.. scholarship and ptptn is easier to apply over there...
anyway, tomorrow there is an education fair here in ipoh, we will go together to survey ...
thanks a lot william..
oh btw, i read the post already..
the journalist ought to go for some courses... in time to come, people might sue the paper for defamation or slander..or tarnishing the reputation :)

Ya... I always thought that UTAR has good reputation. The other two might even lose out to UTAR.

As a former journalist and editor, this sort of journalistic behaviour is not something my editors would have tolerated nor would I have tolerated as an editor. We were not allowed to report things especially political sensitivities during my time but human interest stories like this were never prepped up to sell more papers.

I get the impression some of the tabloid papers in my country are really prepped up though - and it's the editor who has the final say.

The editor should be made to apologise, not the journalist. But the journalist should try to be more moral.

Nil, I think that should be the way to do reporting.

RM Luder, I agree with you. In fact, most stories in the paper are not accurate. But don't know why we still read them.
