AirAsia X flying to London!!

This means that a return fare to London is just £198! This is perfect if you have just 15Kg of check-in baggage. However, if you have 30kg, and if they are charging RM100/kg, you are actually paying RM1500 for excess baggage + RM499 = RM1999!! This is just slightly cheaper than the other airlines I use to book for my children. Now, if I don't get the cheapest fare, it is actually more expensive! So, no cerebration leh..... HAHAHA.

Looking from the positive side, cheap fare is good if I have little check-in baggage. So, my children can hop on and come back for holiday more often or we can hop on and visit them more often (dreaming already). But still, going to a land where petrol cost £1 per litre, a BigMac meal cost £5-7, I need a fat pocket!

p/s: Excess baggage charge is the major killer. Do find out the cost b4 you book because it can be as high as RM200/kg. The check-in counter is more than motivated to charge you as much as possible because they get commission for all monies collected. I saw someone going to Perth and she paid four digits for excess. So cheap is no longer very cheap.
