Boiling Eggs - WT's way... ? (updated 6-Aug)

Am I crazy to show people how to boil eggs? It is the simplest skill that my 5 years old knew without teaching. Perhaps yes, perhaps no. Ok, one simple question, do you submerge the egg(s) completely in water in order to cook them? If the answer is yes, read on...
1. Put eggs into a wok or pan or whatever you normally use.
2. Add in about half a cup of water.
3. Switch on the fire and bring the water to boil. Don't use high fire to boil.
4. Cover the pan/wok (eggs) when the water boil and lower the fire just to sustain boiling.
5. 3 minutes for half boil egg or 5 minutes for hard boil egg. Longer if the egg is cold from the fridge.
This method save time, utility bill, water and environmentally friendly (less CO2 emission from the fire).
There are many other ways to boil egg. Perhaps I will talk about them later.

This is 5 minutes "boiling" or rather steaming!

Kong (my friend) has suggested this:
Try this simple method for soft boil.

1. Put eggs in pan with water (fully submerged).
2. Bring to boil.
3. Switch off fire. Cover pan. Wait few minutes.
(wt: This few minutes = 3-5 minutes)

My colleagues suggested this for soft boil:
Just pour boiling water onto the egg(s) and cover it up. You need more hot water here.
Timing is about the same as Kong's method.
