When my worry is great within me, Your comfort brings joy to my soul. Psalm 94:19 NLV
Before a stringed musical instrument, eg, guitar, can produce music, the string must be stressed. If you pull them too tightly, they will snap. This is true for us also. With just enough stress, we perform best and the music of life will flow freely. But how do you know that you are overloaded? Well, I think this is when you have no time to cook yourself a meal, you failed to do your favorite activities, you have no time even to say a prayer! Before, you get to this point, remember to do two things:
1. Ask for help. Don't go along in life by yourself or you will perish. When you are alone too much, you lose perspective. If the enemy can isolate you, he can influence you. God designed that we stay connected as Paul has said to the Corinthians (1 Cor 12:25) "... so that all the members care for each other"
2. Get real with God. Unburden your soul before God before you explode it at the wrong person. God wanted us to pour out our heart before Him. Just look at the Psalmist. When they cry out to God for help, they end up rejoicing with Him. I wanted to share this:
Psalm 55:22
22 Give your burdens to the Lord,
and he will take care of you.
He will not permit the godly to slip and fall.
Psalm 62:8
8 O my people, trust in him at all times.
Pour out your heart to him,
for God is our refuge.
May you have a blessed day...
