02 June 2008
We "stripped" down everything on the wall and windows...
Move all the benches to the centre. Fortunately we labeled the benches. They are all of different length.
Musical equipment ...
Curtain... (Notice the poisition of the air conditioner)
Teck Chung the strong man...
The curtains are all gone...
"Maggie... aiyo....
Taking them off is "a piece of cake!"
The wall must be bare!
ok... job done...
Teck Chung take the opportunity to fix the light behind the cross.
Our strong youths.
06 June 2008
Scalfolding in place. Light fixture and aircon taken down. Windows sealed with prefab concrete panel.
Timbers... lots of thing
14 June 2008
Ok, see the new aircon position.
This is where the worship team did their practice - fellowship hall.
17 June 2008
New wall sound proving material in place and lights are up on the right side.
Work on the left side starting....
21 June 2008
With just eight more days to go. Work is now concentrated at the back of the church hall.
Electric saw... generated lots of saw dust.
This thing drives the pneumatic nail gun.
Electrical rewiring...
The sound proving material (fibre glass) for wall panel.
24 June 2008
Pressure is now on. Job must be completed by the 27 June 2008. Workers are working day and night.
These two are incredible. They "walk" around with the "ladder".
25 June 2008
New light for the worship team...
The layered celing at the entrance.
Dirt was still everywhere. But in two days, it will be transformed!
27 June 2008
Day zero! Everything is completed. Again Teck Chung was passionately fixing his gargets.
See the nice new ceiling.
ok... all done. Benches and chairs are now in place for the simulcast on 28 June.
Got sound or not?
Maggie ... removing the labeling. Just some fine touches here and there.
28 June 2008
Finally it is completed. Just some fine touches.
Teck Chung and Kong Yu did the finer tuning on the audio and video wiring.
Nice or not?
Cosy.... may God bless this place for His glory.

Before a stringed musical instrument, eg, guitar, can produce music, the string must be stressed. If you pull them too tightly, they will snap. This is true for us also. With just enough stress, we perform best and the music of life will flow freely. But how do you know that you are overloaded? Well, I think this is when you have no time to cook yourself a meal, you failed to do your favorite activities, you have no time even to say a prayer! Before, you get to this point, remember to do two things:
1. Ask for help. Don't go along in life by yourself or you will perish. When you are alone too much, you lose perspective. If the enemy can isolate you, he can influence you. God designed that we stay connected as Paul has said to the Corinthians (1 Cor 12:25) "... so that all the members care for each other"
2. Get real with God. Unburden your soul before God before you explode it at the wrong person. God wanted us to pour out our heart before Him. Just look at the Psalmist. When they cry out to God for help, they end up rejoicing with Him. I wanted to share this:
Psalm 55:22
22 Give your burdens to the Lord,
and he will take care of you.
He will not permit the godly to slip and fall.
Psalm 62:8
8 O my people, trust in him at all times.
Pour out your heart to him,
for God is our refuge.
May you have a blessed day...

As our 40DOP is drawing nearer, we are all getting busier. There are just too many things going on. First, there are still quite a lot to do for church renovation. We just have to trust God that everything will be ready for the simulcast this Saturday. Next, we need to sort out the participants list.
On Saturday, there was a I-youth get together with pot bless.
Followed by games. The idea is to prepare them for the 40DOP campaign. I believe everyone had a good time!
This morning, we have the Sunday School 40DOP kick off. I believe the children have a good time.
On Saturday, I paid Ah Ngu's Cell a surprise visit. I think they are doing well.
I like children. Their innocent look and smile on their face should make me more relaxed. He is one of the cutest boys always with broad smile whenever I pointed my camera on him! He belongs to Tien/Bee Gin
This morning Sunday service was at the e-library again. Next week, we should be returning to our church. Brother Paul was giving his announcement and encouragement on the 40DOP. Pastor Connie gave a fantastic sermon to coincide with the 40DOP. I will blog about it later.
There were some many last minute sorting out of fine details, registration, payment, new members, T-shirt, etc.
At end of everything, I saw one of my favourite boys. His smile also cheers me up. Also, he is so used to me pointing my lens at him that he automatically smile ... hahaha. He belongs to Simon/Kim.

Dream what you want to dream;
Go where you want to go;
Be what you want to be,
Because you have only one life
And one chance to do all the things
You want to do.
May you have enough happiness to make you sweet,
Enough trials to make you strong,
Enough sorrow to keep you human and
Enough hope to make you happy.
The happiest of people don't necessarily
Have the best of everything;
They just make the most of
Everything that comes along their way.
The brightest future will always
Be based on a forgotten past;
You can't go forward in life until
You let go of your past failures and heartaches.
When you were born, you were crying
And everyone around you was smiling
Live your life so at the end
You're the one who is smiling and everyone
Around you is crying.

After 17 days of renovation work, the right side of the wall is almost completed. All the panels were finally installed, aircon moved up, floodlight repositioned and also new power cabling.
The new wall panel looks good!
At 8:30PM last night, the workers were still busy fitting the panels.
This is how the fabric looks like...
A closeup look on the wall panel.
